How Omega Has Helped Improve My Writing

Being a freelance writer is all about knowing what to do next. But that can be difficult when you’re suffering from confusion.

Ever since August of last year, I’ve had so many ideas come into my head when it comes to my professional and creative writing. But I’ll be honest.

It’s been hard to make those ideas come to fruition – mostly because of the brain fog I’ve been experiencing.

Suffering from Brain Fog

I’ve wanted to take my content in a different direction, add a new niche, and start creating digital products. But every time I would start, I found myself stuck in the “research” stage.

I started to get infected with “analysis paralysis.” One minute I was researching how to get started writing eBooks. Then I would follow other writers on Instagram and YouTube, get inspired by what they were doing, and want to follow the same route.

The next day I was doom scrolling and would get discouraged about how AI is coming to take all freelance writers out.

Can you see why it’s been taking me so long to get back into writing?

Bottom line is, I’ve allowed indecision to stop me from making the right moves in my freelance writing. And while this could be seen as just a mental issue, it’s also a problem that results from poor physical health.

When I’m stressed out, eating right and taking care of my body aren’t always my top priorities. I was stress eating, consuming sugar, drinking alcohol, and just not giving my body and mind the proper treatment that they need.

Fortunately, it’s always the right time to start over. This year, I’ve been adamant about making my goals happen. And I’ve come to realize a truth that I’ve been avoiding over the years.

Personal development is key to helping me achieve my goals. Taking care of myself is no longer an option – it’s a necessity if I want to hit all of my goals for this year.

And that includes keeping myself healthy mentally and physically.

How Omega Helped Clear up my Confusion

Outside of freelance writing, I also own a health and wellness business.

Since I’ve been more intentional about maintaining my health all year, I decided to take vitamins and supplements that would help me keep up my creative stamina.

What does that look like for me? Well, it’s pretty much vitamins and supplements that assist with my overall health and provide some additional bonuses.

For example, every morning I take:

  • A multivitamin
  • Advanced omega supplements, and
  • Plant protein mixed into my coffee.

I already knew that most of my health needs would be met by taking the multivitamin, but what I didn’t know is how much of a game changer taking omega supplements would do for my thinking.

Before taking omega, I didn’t know much about what it can do for the mind and body. I know that it originally formed from fatty fish like salmon and mackerel.

But I found out after doing some research that it assists with:

I can definitely attest to the improvement of brain health. I’ve been taking my omega supplements since February. Ever since taking them, I’ve been noticing positive changes in my thinking.

I feel more focused inside and outside of work. I’m able to remember certain pieces of information that at once felt like it would be instantly forgotten. And most importantly, I feel a certain sense of clarity come back to my creative and professional writing that’s been missing for some time.

Now that I’ve been taking my omega supplements, I know what my main goal is for my freelance writing. I want to create my own publishing hub where I create my own digital products, offer freelance writing services, and cultivate my own audience.

I also want to teach other writers how to do the same so that we all get properly paid for our work in 2026.

Why Every Writer Should Take Omega

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor (that’s my cousin Kyra), so take my personal testimony with a grain of salt.

I don’t know what your health goals are for this year. But if there was one supplement that I would recommend for every writer to take, it would be omega supplements.

Remember when I stated that there are some supplements that provide an additional health bonus? Omega would be one of those supplements.

It’s an essential fat that helps with boosting brain health, joint health, heart health, and eye health – all areas that writers need to monitor.

Speaking from experience, it’s easy to neglect your eyes and joints to make sure that you meet a tight deadline. And doing that once or twice may be alright but making it a habit is going to lead to worse issues down the line.

That’s why you want to consult with your physician about adding omega into your routine. There’s too many benefits that it can bring to your mind and body to just go without it.

Conclusion

Remember, do not take this as medical advice.

If you’re interested in adding omega into your creative routine, speak with your doctor first to figure out the right amount you need to add to your diet.
